  4.            Sending/Forwarding Mail
  5.            ───────────────────────

  7.  Mail in your Outgoing Mailbox can be Sent to
  8.  others.  Mail in your Incoming Mailbox can be
  9.  Forwarded to others.  The screens and actions
  10.  of Sending and Forwarding are the same.  To
  11.  simplify this discussion, the following refers
  12.  to both Sending and Forwarding unless otherwise
  13.  stated.

  15.  The menu selections on the Send Screen are made
  16.  a bit differently from those on the other
  17.  screens.  This is to prevent accidental
  18.  Sending, and to maintain consistency on the
  19.  Send menu.  On the Send Screen, one or more
  20.  recipients may be selected to receive the
  21.  highlighted mail item.

  28.  The Send Screen is made up of four elements;

  41.  1 - Title & Menu lines

  43.  The top line on the screen, or Title Line,
  44.  displays the program name and version number.
  45.  The second line, or Menu Line,  displays the
  46.  currently available menu options.  The
  47.  highlighted letter of each option is the one
  48.  which invokes the action. For example, pressing
  49.  <Alt-T> at the Send Screen lets you Tag a name.

  51.     HINT: The first option of every menu may be
  52.           also selected be pressing <Enter>.

  55.  2 - Tag Column

  57.  An asterisk in this column indicates that a
  58.  name has been Tagged to receive a copy of the
  59.  highlighted mail item.

  62.  3 - Full Names of mail users

  64.  The names in this column are the Full Names of
  65.  users as entered in the Novell Syscon utility,
  66.  usually by your network administrator.

  69.  4 - Tag Statistics

  71.  The Tag Statistics indicate how many names have
  72.  been tagged out of the total number available.
  73.  For example, assuming there are a total of 20
  74.  names on the Send list;

  84.  The Send window can only display 18 names at a
  85.  time, so the Tag Statistics can tell you if
  86.  there are names tagged (or untagged) that are
  87.  not currently visible in the window.

  90.               Send/Forward Menu

  94.  There are five options on the Send/Forward
  95.  menu. The options are selectable by typing the
  96.  highlighted letter, or by pressing <Enter> to
  97.  select the first menu option.  The Send/Forward
  98.  Menu options are explained below.

  101.  Tag/Untag One
  102.  ─────────────
  103.  Position the cursor on the desired name.  To
  104.  toggle the Tag mark (which is an asterisk)
  105.  press <Alt-T> or <Enter>.  Do this once and the
  106.  Tag mark appears.  Do it again and the Tag mark
  107.  disappears, thereby untagging the name.  You
  108.  can continue to Tag or untag as many names as
  109.  you wish.

  114.  Press <Alt-A> to Tag or Untag all names on the
  115.  list.  You can verify the results of your
  116.  action by checking the Tag Statistics.

  119.  Quick Find

  121.  You can quickly move through the list of names
  122.  by typing the first letter of a desired name.
  123.  For example, pressing the letter <S> will move
  124.  the cursor immediately to the first name in the
  125.  list that begins with that letter.

  128.  Tagging Group Members
  129.  ─────────────────────
  130.  If you wish to Tag members of one or more
  131.  Novell Groups, pressing <Alt-G> will bring up a
  132.  menu of Group names.  When you Tag a Group on
  133.  this menu, you are returned to the Send Screen
  134.  and all the members in the selected Group are
  135.  Tagged.  You may make as many selections from
  136.  the Group menu as you wish.  Also, individual
  137.  selections may be combined with Group
  138.  selections.

  141.  Send Mail
  142.  ─────────
  143.  When you are finished Tagging names, press
  144.  <Alt-S> to Send the higlighted mail to the
  145.  selected recipients.  If the recipient is
  146.  currently logged in, a Novell message will
  147.  appear at the bottom of their screen indicating
  148.  that you have sent them mail.  If they are not
  149.  logged in, you will receive a message that
  150.  indicates this, but the mail will still be
  151.  sent.  It is useful to know that since the a
  152.  recipient is not logged in, an immediate reply
  153.  is unlikely.
